Wow! I really meant that as well. This is right up my street, suspense
thriller. I originally heard some good reviews about this and what it
had the making of becoming and after watching it I totally agree.

McConaughey (Haller) is a defence lawyer who gets the deals where
deals cannot be made. He goes through his career staying 1 step ahead
of who he defends until now. He is asked for by a beverly hills family
to defend there son (Phillippe) who is up on assault and rape charges.

Haller has to defend this Roulet (Phillippe) as a second look at the
evidence causes Haller to rethink his approach.

This film has it all for a thriller, including a great performance
from McConaughey. The film is well written as it not only shows the
main character as a word hard, play hard sort of guy. It reflects him
in the film flow as well. There is not time to blink in this film or
you may something.

For a film that does not really go out and generate that many
questions it always keeps you on your toes wondering if you have
missed something. In my previous review about London Boulevard i said
i could watch hat again and again as it is light entertainment where
as this you must to watch it again to see if you have missed any clues
earlier on. I am going to have to watch this again to see if I did
actually miss anything.

This release was always going to go one of two ways, reduced to clear or smash hit. I can tell you now it was the first one by a clear margin.

I am saddened by this as I really thought this was a great piece of work.

Farrell (Mitchell) plays a fresh out of prison gangster hell bent on not going back. He’s met at the prison gates by a relative who encourages him to take up his old life. Unfortunately he cannot help but find trouble and accidentally stumbles across young actress Charlotte (Knightley) who has become a recluse in her own home worried by danger of attack by the papps or others. Charlotte ask for his help and he is thrown into a battle of love and war.

To be brutally honest with you this film did not really do that well in reviews either however I thought it was brilliant. Not because Colin Farrell cannot recreate a cockney gansta accent if his life depended on it, or that Keira Knightly gave a very week performance. No this film reminded me of a good old Guy Richie production. The likes of Lock Stock, Snatch or even Rock n Rolla were running through the veins of this film.
 
 

I would watch this film again and again. Maybe it is because there are a lot of actors from previous gangster films in it and that glues the movie to together to make it feel more genuine. Maybe it is how it has been produced or maybe it is the plot. Never the less this is a great film, so watch it.

Synopsis

Chance Harris looks to find a balance between his school, work, relationships and opportunity to perform at the nationally televised step competition during homecoming weekend at Truth University.

Well this the sequel to Stomp the Yard. Basically these films have been created in the wake of the success of dance drama films like Step Up. Step Up created alot of people and allowed them to further there careers of the back of this success.

Stomp The Yard however has never really been able to fill the shoes of the original films and was always in my eyes trying to chance something that had already been done and had probably come to near the end of it’s shelf life.

Maybe the story is to thin?

Maybe it’s just not believable enough. I don’t know but there is something missing if I am honest and this was the same.

Don’t get me wrong I understood the story and sort of was able to relate to the struggles of someones lifes but to be honest I just did not see the spark that was in Step Up. It was more see the troubles a kid goes through during a term.

During the day, Arthur Poppington (Woody Harrelson) is a normal man (even if slightly naive to the workings of the world) working in the construction industry. During the night time, he transforms into his alter-ego, Defendor, protecting the streets from thugs. The city has a problem with thugs and nobody is prepared to stand up and fight for themselves. The police are slow to catch the wrongdoers and Arthur has a huge willpower to do what he can to help the people. He helps Kat (Kat Dennings) one night from Dooney – when she really didn’t need any help – she was a hooker. Dooney (Elias Koteas) is a corrupt cop in the police force and he is in cahoots with a Serbian mob boss. Arthur has been searching for Captain industry all his life as he had killed his mother. Kat and Arthur become friends and Defendor goes after Captain Industry knowing that there is a very high chance of dying or getting arrested.

So this is a new film that stars woody harrelson as a super hero that takes on the evil of the city.

In this film we see a brilliant display from woody Harrelson who takes on a role of a harmless physcotic who believes that he is from outer space and wants to take on all badness from the city.

This film is not for the ones who are after a actioned packed sci fi that will blow your mind with special effects. This is more of a drama with a hint of comedy.

This film instead tries to portray how one man could possibly make a change to a city if he was given the right support. Harrelson a industrial worker by day, a super hero by night chases after danger as he believes that he is doing the job of the greater good by taking out bad guys and sometimes not winning the battles he faces.

Some how by accident harrelson stumbles across a hooker and a off duty police officer in which Defendor believe that the lady (hooker) is trouble and needs his help. After he saves the girl and teaches the bad guy a lesson Defendor goes on his way to stop another crime when he meets up with the same hooker again at which point he receives a beating up and has to go home to like his wounds with ……. In his safe hands.

To be honest this film does not have to best most influential start on the world but if you just stick with this film it will come good in the end and along with the plot it is a very good watch.

7/10 a good film made great by harrelsons acting.

This film sees an all star cast that brings together the funnier side of a funeral, and shows what can go wrong if you don’t get the planning ring.

Chris rock plays the eldest son of two bothers who have to lay to rest the beloved father. Mark lawerence is the other brother who is the creative righter of the family.

This tale starts with the arrival of rock and lawerence father at which point they discover that the casket that has been brought is incorrect and that his father is missing.

While rock tries to ring the day together he is given different curve balls that try and harm this sad day. Even though this suppose to be quiet a trying time for the family this comedy is able go bring out the lighter side to funerals.

Basically showing that if anything goes wrong all you have to do is laugh at it and everything will be ok.

To be honest I am not the biggest fan of comedies like this as I think it can get a bit over board when it come to a black comedy but in this there is slight movements towards that but the writing and screen play allows all viewers a barrel of laughs.

I thought this had he making of a all star cast bad comedy but his is brilliant and anyone should watch it if they get chance.

9/10 for me absolute brilliant.

A romantic comedy centered on a woman who conceives twins through artificial insemination, only to meet the man of her dreams on the very same day.

Chick flick written all over I am afraid fella’s.

This sees the return to the screen of Jennifer Lopez who plays a part that to be honest is not her best suited role in the world but still she plays it well enough.

In this take on how the world is not exactly normal we see Jennifer Lopez as a single working women who has decided that she has everything apart from a family. As lopez is single she decides that she will go down the insemination route which lands her success.

Her depart from the clinic how ever brings her into he path of Who ends up getting in the same cab as her.

So the chick flick begins. To be honest I am not a big fan of chick flicks and parts of this bored me to death. My girlfriend on the hand loved them so thus for shows some good touches.

The story pushes on and I am sure you can guess what happens in the end but at I am mot going to spoil it for you.

To be honest with the plot is good but the casting is somewhat questionable. Maybe this should of been played by a drew Barrymore. I think that Lopez is a little too upmarket for this film and I really think it is less believable with her in it.

A dog caring sexy Latino. Now that does not happened.

Jennifer Lopez needs to get back to her gritty roles like ‘out of sight’.

Six months later, a family is murdered over drugs; Terence runs the investigation. His drug-using prostitute girlfriend, his alcoholic father’s dog, run-ins with two old women and a well-connected john, gambling losses, a nervous young witness, and thefts of police property put Terence’s job and then his life in danger. He starts seeing things. He wants a big score to get out from under mounting debts, so he joins forces with drug dealers. The murders remain unsolved. A bad lieutenant gets worse.

Well I really try to not see any info about smaller films before they come out so that I can be surprised by at least a few new films that are released.

Well tuis is one of them. It to be honest has a good selection of actors in this including nicolas cage and eve Mendez. This films sees nicolas cage start as a do gooder cop who gets taken down in his prime by a jump that he never expected would be the breaking of him.

Once pas this part to shows how life has turned from good to bad and how He is now trying to fight the pain through the use of cocaine and heroin. He battles a number of problems from organised crime to self addiction to both a prostate and drugs. This film shows the balancing act of this officer and how he hands all the troubles that he has to go through.

The problems…..

Well the problems for are two fold.

1. The acting.

To be honest this film will not help anyones career as this does not really have any great acting within.

Nicolas cage

During the film he has to portay a man with a limp and that he does until he has to start moving fastly. This is to be honest something we can live with but the funniest part of his role is the accent. His accent changes in nearly every seen, I cannot decide if he is doing this manually or not as it cannot be accidental.

Eve Mendez probably plays the best role in the films and she does not have to do much to impress us as the others leave a lot to be desired.

2. The representation

This is a thriller and don’t you know about it.

But I ask one question why not a comedy. I ask because thus would of been a brilliant comedy. It had all the important comedy parts for a lethal weapon sort of comedy but I think the company aim was thriller when the film itself was screaming to be released in the comedy world.

I have slated this film the worst I have slated any film but do you know what it was one other better ones I have seen this year.

Everything brought together in a way which individually was bad as a collective made it work. To be honest work really well.

I will rate this film 9 out of 10.

Don’t ask me why but I feel like I need to watch this film again and again.

This film short shows the lost love of a director desperate for cinematic success. With the pursuit of this you can either have one or the other but sometimes never the two. Unfortunately in this short the cinematic career takes the priority. The overall in the film though is that the lost love is always there.

I think that this is a briliant film that brings a relevancy to Peroni.

I personally am a fan of a good crime drama or series. It has to keep you on your toes. Will it won’t it.

Well this is it for me this follows the life and times of a newly created identity fraud team. There aim is to show that this idea that there are a lot of identity fraudsters out there is true and the department is just.

Part of the department you have 5 characters in which Is in charge. With every department there is a copper who is very highly skilled in which John Bloom is. He has just finished a stint as a undercover cop in which he spent 15 years of his life infiltrating a gang in London to arrest the crime lord who was at the head of this criminal family.

With the stint he has just finished as you expect he struggles lead a single life and his undercover life starts to vet the better of him and he starts to get connect again.

This first series really follows John Blooms life and struggle to juggle both lifes.

This bring you to never know what is going to happen and if Bloom will get found out or if he is still undercover for real.

My overall view is that this is a brilliant tv series and I cannot wait till the next one hey intact make one.

I will rank this series 10/10.
